Solvon® solvents have no flash point and have low ozone depleting potentials. They are essentially used like 1,1,1-trichloroethane without the adverse effect on the environment.

Solvon IP

- A powerful solvent, azeotrope-like blend, for cleaning and degreasing, meets or exceeds the requirements of ASTM-D-6368*. It is milder than Solvon PB but better equipped to remove and clean water-soluble particles and ionic residue.

Approvals and Tests

Solvon® PB and IP both have been tested against the strictest specifications in the industry. They have passed the following tests:

  • Mil-T-81533A, Metal corrosion test.

  • ASTM F 945-98, Stress Corrosion of Titanium Alloys.

  • AMS 1526B, Cleaner for Aircraft Exterior Surfaces.

  • ARP 1755B, Effect of Cleaning Agents on Aircraft Engine Materials.

  • PWA 36604 Rev. B, Hot Corrosion Testing of Gas Turbine Alloys.

  • Boeing D6-17487 Rev. N, Exterior and General Cleaners.

  • Douglass CSD #1 TY1, General purpose Cleaner.
